General Booking Terms

These terms apply to accommodation bookings made by individual guests, unless a special agreement has been made. They do not apply to individual bookings made for groups of more than 10 people. These terms also apply to online bookings made through Yöpuu Yhtiö Oy’s websites. They do not apply to bookings made through third-party providers. At other times, terms are as agreed. Please note that the reception is closed at night.

BOOKING AND CONFIRMATION

When making a booking, you must provide your name, address, arrival and departure dates, and payment method. The booking becomes binding for the hotel once it has been confirmed verbally, in writing, or via email, and you have received a confirmation number. The hotel may set conditions for the booking, such as requiring a deposit or guaranteeing the reservation with a credit card.

The guest is responsible for checking the details of the booking confirmation and, if necessary, canceling the reservation. In case of any uncertainties, please contact the hotel’s sales department at myynti@yopuuyhtio.fi or +358 14 333 911. It is recommended to bring the booking confirmation with you when arriving at the hotel.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE AT THE HOTEL

The room is available from 3:00 p.m. on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 12:00 noon on the day of departure. The hotel may have different check-in and check-out times in some cases. For safety reasons, only staff and registered guests are allowed in hotel rooms and other reserved areas, and the maximum number of people per room or area must not be exceeded.

We verify the identity of guests upon check-in.

Unless otherwise agreed at the time of booking, or if your selected rate or booking period does not include other conditions, the room will be held until 6:00 p.m. on the day of arrival. If you arrive later, you must confirm your late arrival with a credit card or another agreed method. Otherwise, the hotel may release the room for sale to other guests.

If you arrive at the hotel during the designated check-in hours but your reserved room is not available, the hotel must provide the nearest possible room of equivalent standard at no additional cost.

RESERVATION GUARANTEE

An international credit card may be used to guarantee your reservation. If you arrive at the hotel after 6:00 p.m., please provide a valid credit card along with the following information: your name, card number and expiration date, address, phone number, and email address. The hotel may request this information either in writing or verbally.

As an alternative to a credit card or corporate guarantee, Yöpuu Yhtiö Oy reserves the right to request a partial or full prepayment to secure the reservation. The prepayment and its schedule are always agreed upon in writing with the guest in advance.

Yöpuu Yhtiö Oy reserves the right to authorize the credit card for the agreed amount if necessary.

CANCELLATION AND NO-SHOW

Unless otherwise agreed at the time of booking, or if your selected rate or booking period does not include other conditions, cancellations must be made by 6:00 p.m. on the day of arrival. If you do not arrive and your reservation has been confirmed, the hotel reserves the right to charge a compensation equal to one night’s stay including taxes, as well as any additional services associated with the booking.

Group booking cancellation terms are as agreed in the contract. Prepaid room reservations are non-refundable and cannot be modified. The payment will not be returned.

Hotel rooms can be paid for in cash, with a debit card, or a credit card. It is recommended to bring your booking confirmation when arriving at the hote.

PAYMENTS

Both hotels accept the most common payment cards. However, the hotel is not obliged to accept foreign currency, vouchers, checks, or payment cards unless the hotel has explicitly agreed to do so.
If the room has not been prepaid, payment must be made at the hotel either in cash or by credit card. The hotel reserves the right to charge and pre-authorize international credit cards at the time of booking. A prepayment may be charged to the credit card according to the hotel’s specified reservation fee, which will be deducted from the final bill.

The payment card must be presented upon arrival at the hotel. Any invoicing must be agreed in advance with the sales department. A billing fee of €9 applies. We do not invoice reservations made through third-party providers.

If the hotel has not pre-authorized your credit card, the hotel reserves the right to charge a deposit at check-in to cover any additional services (such as minibar usage).

GUEST STAY AT THE HOTEL

At the hotel, we follow proper etiquette and house rules. If you break these rules, you may be asked to leave the hotel immediately. However, you are still required to pay for your accommodation and any additional services you have ordered, and you cannot request a refund for payments already made.

For safety reasons, only registered hotel guests are allowed in hotel rooms and other reserved areas. The maximum number of people per room or area must not be exceeded.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR GUEST PROPERTY

You can store your valuables in the room’s safe. The hotel is not responsible for items kept in the room safe. You are also responsible for your own luggage.

The hotel is not responsible for any damage to or loss of vehicles or belongings inside vehicles in the hotel garage or parking area. The hotel must clearly indicate in the garage and parking areas that these are not monitored zones and that the hotel is not liable for guests’ property there.

GUEST RESPONSIBILITY FOR DAMAGE

As a guest, you are responsible for any damage caused intentionally or through negligence (such as smoking in the room) by you, your visitors, or your pets to the room or other hotel premises, including furniture and equipment, as well as to other guests or their property. Liability for damage is determined in accordance with general principles of compensation for damage.

ACCOMMODATION OF MINORS

Only a person over 18 years old can make a room reservation. The person booking for a minor is responsible for the minor, regardless of whether they stay with them or not. A minor staying alone must have a signed, informal permission note from a guardian, indicating the minor’s name and date of birth, as well as the dates of stay. The guardian’s name and phone number are also required.

PETS

Pets are not allowed at this hotel. At our sister hotel, Verso, pet-friendly rooms are available, which you can inquire about through our sales department.

GENERAL TERMS APPLICABLE TO PROMOTIONAL OFFERS

Promotional offers apply only to new bookings, not to reservations that were canceled and rebooked during the campaign period. The promotional price is valid only during the campaign period and cannot be transferred to dates outside the offer period, nor combined with other discounts or offers. The offer is personal and cannot be transferred to another guest or a new guest added to the reservation after the offer period ends due to a name change or modification of the booking. Rooms and extra beds at the promotional price are available in limited quantities, and prices may vary depending on the arrival and departure dates. We reserve the right to make changes.
